As I approach the remarkable milestone of fifty years in full-time Christian ministry, I find myself reflecting on a journey marked by God’s grace, unwavering calling, and countless opportunities to serve His Kingdom. What began as a simple “yes” to God’s call has unfolded into decades of preaching the Gospel, discipling believers, and planting churches across cultures and continents.

The Call That Changed Everything

In the mid-1970s, God placed a burden on my heart—a calling that would shape the course of my life. From my earliest days of ministry, the conviction was clear: to make Christ known among the nations and to equip His people for faithful discipleship. That calling led me through seasons of joy and challenge, always anchored in the truth that ministry is not about personal achievement but about obedience to the One who sends us.

A Global Journey

Over these five decades, God opened doors I could never have imagined. From serving as a church planter and developer in East and Southeast Asia to later focusing on diaspora communities in North America and Europe, each assignment revealed the beauty of the global Church. I witnessed firsthand how the Gospel transcends language, culture, and borders—uniting believers in Christ’s mission.

Lessons Learned Along the Way

Fifty years of ministry have taught me profound lessons:

• Faithfulness matters more than success. Numbers and accolades fade, but obedience to God’s call endures.

• The power of relationships. Ministry is not programs—it’s people. Investing in lives brings eternal fruit.

• God’s strength in weakness. From health crises to cultural challenges, I’ve learned that His grace truly is sufficient.

Looking Ahead

Though fifty years have passed, the mission remains unfinished. My heart still beats for the nations, for equipping new believers, and for seeing churches thrive in every context. As I step into this next season, I do so with gratitude—for every opportunity, every partnership, and every soul touched by the Gospel.

A Word of Thanks

To my family, friends, ministry partners, and countless brothers and sisters in Christ: thank you for walking this road with me. Your prayers, encouragement, and shared vision have made this journey possible. Above all, I give glory to God, who has been faithful from the first day until now.
